To help reduce our paper consumption and be more environmentally friendly, we will stop printing and posting all current and savings account statements from July 2023 for our Wholesale and Corporate Banking customers.
To ensure you understand what this change means for you, we have prepared the following FAQs to provide further information and explain how you can access your statements online via HSBCnet.
What are the benefits of stopping paper statements and switching to online statements?
- Environmentally friendly – Fewer printouts helps to reduce our carbon footprint and puts less strain on our local recycling facilities, ensuring less paper ends up in landfills.
- Convenient - No more digging through drawers and filing cabinets for that bank information from way back when. You’ll always have your financial records at your fingertips.
- Free of charge – No cost for you to access your statements online.
- Secure platform – Statements are accessible via our secure HSBCnet platform, reducing the chances of your confidential information being intercepted.
- Timely – Access your statements as soon as they are available, without having to wait for them to be printed and posted to you (noting HSBCnet only retains up to 12 months’ of statements).
What should I do if I still require paper statements?
You will need to let us know that you would like to continue receiving paper statements, so we can ensure this service is not switched off on your account(s).
Please note, we do not currently charge to print and post paper statements, but we do review our fee schedule often and this is something we may look to change in the future.
If you would like to request to retain paper statements, then please contact your Client Services Manager directly via email or by calling us on the details below.
How to access online statements via HSBCnet?
In order to access statements/reporting module in HSBCnet, you will first need to have permission entitled by your HSBCnet System Administrator.
Once you have the correct permission entitled, you can access the reporting/statements function in HSBCnet.

Once access is granted, you can visit NetPlus within HSBCnet for a simple guide on how to extract a statement from HSBCnet, or call our helpdesk for further assistance (please refer to contact details below).
Can my online statements to be emailed to me?
Yes, this can be done via Automated File Delivery (AFD) on HSBCnet, if you create a customised report. The customised report can be tailored to your needs and delivered to your email automatically using the AFD. Please refer to the relevant support guides within NetPlus for further instructions on how to set up customised reports and AFD.
Please note, the System Administrator needs to provide the correct entitlements for the User to use this service. If the System Administrator requires help to identify the correct entitlements in HSBCnet, please ask them to contact us on the details below.
How long are my statements available online?
HSBCnet holds statements for the last 12 months.
How do I order historic statements?
If you are missing a statement from within the last 12 months, then you can extract it from HSBCnet at no extra cost.
Alternatively, you can contact your Client Services Manager to obtain statement copies. Please note, there may be a fee to retrieve copies of historic statements - please refer to your Corporate Bank Fees & Charges for more details.
Will I be charged for receiving paper statements?
No. If you elect to retain paper statements, you will not be charged for these statements. However, we regularly review our fees and this may change in future.
If you are missing a historical statement for any reason, you can order a copy from us, as we retain up to 7 years of statements in our internal records. Please note, there may be a cost involved to provide historic statements – please refer to your Corporate Bank Fees & Charges for more details.
However, if you are missing a statement from within the last 12 months you can extract it from HSBCnet at no extra cost.
